The Royal College of Chiropractors, together with the European Chiropractors’ Union and Chiropractic Australia, is pleased to welcome the Canadian Chiropractic Association (CCA) as a supporting partner of Chiropractic & Manual Therapies Journal. (CMTJ).
CMTJ is a peer reviewed, open access journal dedicated to advancing research in chiropractic, manual therapies, and related fields. It carries an impact factor of 2.4, a record high for the journal and one that continues to rise, the highest of any chiropractic journal in the world, and ranks in the top quartile of the rehabilitation category.
The CCA’s involvement adds a strong North American voice to the journal’s international base of supporting societies. The CCA will continue to publish its own research journal, the Journal of the Canadian Chiropractic Association, alongside this new collaboration. “This partnership reflects a shared commitment across the global chiropractic community to research excellence, knowledge translation and international engagement,” the partner societies said in a joint statement.
The CMTJ editorial team welcomed the news. “The editors at CMTJ are delighted that the Canadian Chiropractic Association has joined the journal as an official partner,” they said. “The Canadian Chiropractic Association’s values as an evidence based, progressive chiropractic organisation perfectly aligns with the journal’s aim to provide the chiropractic and manual therapy professions with up to date evidence about the conservative management of musculoskeletal conditions. The support of the Canadian Chiropractic Association will expand the journal’s impact and reach throughout North America, and we look forward to a productive relationship for many years to come.”
